Song of the Piper is the second song in the choral suite Show Me the Child which was commissioned by the Alnwick Schools Pyramid.

 

Since its first performance in the Alnwick Playhouse it has been sung extensively round the region and beyond and has been recorded by the Durham Singers on their CD Gaudeamus.

 

It features a prominent part for Northumbrian pipes (F Chanter).

 

It is available in three versions: mixed voices SATB, treble voices SSA

and male voices TTBB.
